Book Review: Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

I asked on a recent book review for any recommendations and the lovely Amy & More  recommended this. This is such a wonderfully moving story of how Will sets out on his journey to work one morning and his life changes forever. I was totally gripped. This is undoubtedly one of the best books I’ve ever read.

Imagine setting out to work on an ordinary day. It’s raining out so you decide not to get on your motorbike and instead take the “safe” option of crossing the road to get a cab. Only Will gets hit by a motorbike, leaving him C5/6 quadriplegic. Life will never be the same again.

Two years later Lou responds to a job advertisement to be a Carer for Will. A first, a job for which she has no experience and dreads, soon becomes the most important job she has ever undertaken.

It is one of those lovely race against time stories, with lovely twists and turns. A truly wonderful read. It is both heartwarming and totally heartbreaking. You definitely need your tissues to the ready.  I just couldn’t put the book down. If you’re the same, make sure you remember to keep applying the factor 30 ๐Ÿ™‚

Has anyone else read the book? What did you think?
Any other great recommendations for me guys?
Helen xoxo
