Book Review: Twerk by Isobel Blackthorn*

I was so excited when Isobel contacted me and asked if I would like to read her new book, Twerk. From the very start, it packs quite a punch! Twerk is an addictively dark psychological thriller, written in Isobel’s trademark style.

It’s a regular evening in a Las Vegas strip club until a client mysteriously dies during a private dance. Dancer, Amber finds herself uncontrollably attracted to the paramedic who tries to resuscitate the client. So much so, that she follows him outside, hoping for a sizzling encounter.

Five days later, and it’s fellow dancer Lana’s next shift at the club, but where is Amber? And what about the dead client, Billy. What happened to him?

We then follow the story from the perspectives of both Amber and Lana.

Amber quickly learns that Dwight, the hot paramedic is not all he first seemed. As the days go on, bizarre events unfold, and Amber finds herself fearing for her life.

Meanwhile, Lana finds herself searching for answers. Lana is only dancing to fund her way through law school. Finding that neither the police or the club are taking much interest, she decides to use her knowledge and conducts her own inquiries. She is desperate to uncover the truth about the death. Lana then starts to receive death threats. The person she most needs to speak to is Amber. But will Amber be found alive?

This book is jam-packed with twists and turns. I was so gripped, I almost missed my bus stop on the way home!

I have to give the book a 4/5. It’s definitely going to be in my top 5 reads for 2018!

The book is due for release on the 7th December 2018.

You can find out more about Isobel Blackthorn over on her website

I was also part of the Blog Tour for another of Isobel’s books, The Legacy of Old Gran Parks if you fancy a read.

Have you read Twerk?

Lots of love,
