Food Friday: Shredded Wheat Chocolate Nests


Easter is fast approaching, that means it’s time for chocolate goodness. These cute little chocolate nests are so pretty and because they are made from Shredded Wheat I also feel like I’m being healthy too!


You will need: 

1.       cupcake cases    
2.       200g milk chocolate, broken into pieces
3.       85g shredded wheat, crushed
4.       2 x 100g bags mini chocolate eggs

Method:

1.      
Melt the chocolate in a small bowl placed over a
pan of barely simmering water.  You can microwave the chocolate, but be
careful as it burns easily!
2.      
Pour the chocolate over the shredded wheat and
stir well to combine.
3.      
Spoon the mixture into 12 cupcake cases and
press the back of a teaspoon in the centre to create a nest shape.
4.      
Place 3 mini chocolate eggs on top of each nest.
5.      
Chill the nests in the fridge for 2-3 hours to set.
Makes 12 cakes
