Fun in Berlin

For my summer trip this year we went to Berlin. It is a beautiful city, rich with history. It is hard to believe looking at the modern buildings, bars, restaurants and shops how much has changed in 25 years.

We stayed at the Scandic hotel in Potsdamer Platz, This is an affordable, yet really lovely hotel – I would definitely recommend it!

A trip to Berlin wouldn’t be complete without a bit of sightseeing…
The Museum of Chocolate! Chocolate and shoes ladies – what more could we want!
Topography of Terror is free to get in and the remains of the wall are just outside.
The wall is remembered with markings on the road
Memorial to the Jews of Europe
Potsdamer Platz shopping centre even has a free exhibition marking the 25 years
Checkpoint Charlie museum

 Fernsehturm tv tower
Brandenburg Gate

Boat tour in the sun is recommended!

There were so many lovely bars and restaurants that this post would be too long if I went through all the nice ones we visited (that will explain the 4lbs I put on during the trip!). This bar was a definite favourite of our though 🙂

Have you been anywhere nice this year?

Lots of love,
Helen xoxo
