Today is the last day of half term. The sound of cheer from some and for others it means the groan of back to work Monday. I had such a lovely one. Enjoying the sun, the sights, the food. So, here’s what I have been loving, doing and been eating this half term.
This time last year I was single and I used to hate these posts. I feel like I have turned into my worst nightmare lol. Let me off though just this once as it was our first one together *slush* 🙂
It started with some lovely flowers and all things pink (my fave colour!), including Lush bath bombs, so I could have a lovely relaxing soak 🙂 Valentine’s Day however, wouldn’t be complete without a nice pinky/red lip. This one is Clinque’s Cherry Pop, it is a gorgeous red with a lovely flattering pink undertone.
What better way to spend half term than as a bit of a tourist. Day-to-day I don’t tend to go into Central London and Dan works in the City, so it isn’t really his top destination at the weekend.
I used to be terrified of boats, but I’ve been trying to conquer that fear. The River Boat is an amazing way to get some lovely views, so my camera definitely keeps me distracted 😉
Half term would not be half term without a trip to the museum would it! We are total geeks so first stop was the Transport Museum – it’s brill if you are into that kind of thing. It costs £17 entry, but the ticket is valid for 12 months.
Last stop was the theatre. I’m a huge fan of a good musical, but for some reason, I haven’t been to the theatre since last year. This time Kinky Boots the Musical at the Adephi was on the agenda. Based on a true story of a failing shoe maker’s business, this hit musical will have you laughing, crying, dancing and clapping along. Absolutely loved it! We then round the day off with the more traditional romantic Valentine’s meal at Tuttons. Absolutely delish! I went for the Goats Cheese Salad and the Salmon for main.
