TAG: The Makeup Timer Test

The lovely Lily Pebbles created this blogger tag. If like me, have you ever wondered how long your everyday makeup routine actually takes? I thought it looked fun, so thought I would give it a go too.

I used the stop watch on my iPhone and it took me 4.18 to apply my every day ‘natural’ looking makeup.

Here’s what I used…

Base:

Rimmel BB Cream 9-in-1 Medium applied with Real Teachniques brush.
Collection Illuminating Touch Glow. In the shade 3, for the under eye area.
Powder No7 10 Fair Perfect Light Loose Powder (now discontinued).

Bronzer/blusher:

New Cid i-cheek Blush Trio in Coral 9101 applied with Real Teachniques brush.

Eyes:

Rimmel Glam Eyes 100 Glam Ice applied with UBU Brush No.35.
Bourjois Smokey Eye Trio in 01 Gris Dandy applied with UBU Brush No. 31.
Eyelash curlers.
Maybelline the Falsies Volum’ Express Black Drama.

Lips:

A quick sweep of Burts Bees lip gloss and I’m good to go!

If you want to do this tag, here’s all you have to do.

1. Set your stopwatch to record each step, stopping and resetting in between each one. Don’t forget to write down the timings!
2. Do your everyday makeup routine at your usual speed, don’t feel rushed.
3. Write a post with your timings and a list of what makeup you used.
4. Have fun!

Has anyone else done the tag? Has anyone got any other fun tags I could try?
Helen xoxo

This sounds fun, I think i'll try this tomorrow. I reckon your four minutes is a pretty average time for a natural face.

I might have to do this and see how long it takes me! I literally use 1-3 products on a daily basis due to pure laziness but I have never actually timed it. I'm impressed you managed to do a whole natural look in under five minutes though – it takes me quite a bit longer than that!

Haha – I think it's just years of wanting extra time in bed. Less time doing makeup, means precious extra few minutes sleep! Let me know how you get on Rachael 🙂 H xx

Oh my! I'm going to do this tomorrow! I used to need an hour to get ready before I had kids & I'm amazed at how quick I can do it all now! Ax

It's brilliant – I used to panic about getting ready and then just faff for ages. Let me know how you get on Andrea 🙂 H xx

All items located in a non-hostile environment do not need to be tested and tagged,
however this does not mean that all items in an office for example do not need to be tested! There are some areas of an office environment that are hostile,
and many dangerous items brought in to non-hostile areas by unsuspecting employees.

Oh my word how do you do your make-up so quickly?! It takes me a good 30 minutes every day (although I do have to draw eyebrows on from scratch!). That's a skill you have there! xx Sophie / http://www.prettyandpolished.co.uk
